April 2023 Update from Pastor Yvel

UPDATE from Pastor Yvel

Christian Easter arrives! Our Savior Jesus is not among the dead people.  He rose! He won’t die anymore.  Now He sits down on the right of Father God in Heaven.  The tomb where the enemies put Him is empty!  Hallelujah!

May God bless you all in this special moment where He continues leading His people even when everything is bad around the world.
The situation is still sad here in Haiti where peaceful citizens pass away under armed gangs’ action almost every day.
In spite of all this, the ministry is in God’s hands.  We are doing what we have to do to help Christians to keep faith and to get unsaved people into the kingdom of God.  Working with the poor people at Palma Church and the backcountry churches is a privilege.  Privilege because we will receive the Crown prepared for the winners in God army.  Praise The Lord!

Some schools have opened in January in spite of troubled times.  In some places we continue our feeding program.  See what happened at Rosinette School farthest in mountain where children enjoy their provided meals with your support to the work.

Doco Church:

Pastor Remy Joseph leader in Doco church died last year.  He founded a school because there are no other schools in that area.  That school is closed at present.  We don’t have enough money to pay the teachers.  As the pupils can’t go to school Pastor Jasson started a children’s club with them where they teach them how to pray, listen to the Word of God and sing every Saturday at noon.  Sometimes he finished the class by giving them a meal.  Supporting this project now will be appreciated until we have money to reopen the Doco School.

Fond Fable church:

Fond Fable church in Petit Goave was closed for 3 years.  Some people claimed our land where the church is was their own.  We went to court many times to have the church again.  After praying and the support of the people of the area we have the church!  We will hold a special service on Sunday April 16 in the morning to get that church alive.
Sand, cement, blocks, wood, sheet metal, planks, boards . . . are very expensive.  We started to build the church, “Anse a Pitre,” at the border.  We had to stop it because of money.  The prayer service, Bible study, worship service are being held under a gallery property of a free mason who wants to put the church out.  Pray with us that the church we be able to continue meeting. He knows what to do!

Good Easter to all our supporters with their family.

Sincerely yours in Jesus Christ,

PASTOR JEAN YVEL CALIXTE
